KBEST will increase local training institutional capacity to deliver gender-responsive skills training programs in the BE sector that meet the needs of Kenyan industry and economic growth plans by leveraging Canadian college and institute expertise in partnership with Kenyan Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions to develop industry-relevant BE training programs. KBEST has a strong focus on increasing the participation of adolescent girls and women, youth and vulnerable populations in demand driven TVET BE fields. KBEST’s ultimate outcome is to increase economic opportunities for male and female graduates from TVET institutions in the BE in Kenya. The resulting increase in economic opportunities through formal employment or entrepreneurial opportunities will increase earnings and livelihoods, especially for women.
