About JSSWG

Joint Sub-Sector Working Group (JSSWG) on TVET

The JSSWG primary mandate is to promote policy dialogue and provide strategic direction to ensure Development Partners support to Technical Vocation Education and Training (TVET) are in line with the TVET Act 2013, National Education Sector Strategic Plan (NESSP), Vision 2030 and other government development plans relevant to the entire TVET ecosystem/value chain.

This will ensure that partners support TVET in a coordinated matter while allowing them opportunity to harness potential synergies to improve the TVET sub-sector. The JSSWG is chaired by the Principal Secretary, State Department of Vocational and Technical Training, and co-chaired by Global Affairs Canada.

Participants comprise of high level representatives from various development agencies, the Ministry of Education and the Council of Governors.

Development Partners Technical Working Group on TVET and Youth Employment

The Development Partners Technical Working Group on TVET and Youth Employment was formed in June 2017, and currently has a membership of over 20 bilateral and multilateral partners. The initiative provides members with a platform where they can work together to increase alignment of investment in the sector to maximize their own investments, and create a greater impact on national TVET reforms. The network is led by the Ministry of Education.
